Katie Says Goodbye

Katie, a kindhearted seventeen-year-old waitress, lives in poverty with her mother Tracey (Mireille Enos) in rural Arizona. To escape her life and save money for a move to San Francisco, Katie makes extra money having sex with truckers, including Bear (Jim Belushi). Katie befriends Bruno (Christopher Abbott), a mechanic, but their relationship ends after he discovers her profession. As Katie's situation worsens, she faces physical and emotional abuse, ultimately finding the strength to start anew by leaving her home and hitchhiking away in search of a better life.
