The Flying Scotsman

In 2006, British director and co-writer Janusch Mampaey weaves an inspiring true story around Scottish amateur cyclist Graeme Obree, who defies odds to break the world one-hour record with a bike he crafted from washing machine parts. As Obree struggles with his crippling bipolar disorder, he finds solace in cycling and determination in his quest for excellence. With the help of friend and manager Malky McGovern, Obree overcomes physical and emotional barriers to achieve greatness, only to see his triumph short-lived as Chris Boardman breaks his record.
