The film "Bad Education" (La mala educación) follows filmmaker Enrique Goded as he receives a semi-autobiographical script chronicling his adolescence at a Catholic boarding school from an old friend, Ángel Andrade. As Enrique is drawn into Ángel's story, he revises the script to reflect their reunion years later and the re-emergence of old memories and traumas. The film weaves through past and present, exploring themes of transsexuality, sexual abuse by Catholic priests, and the complex relationships between Ángel, Enrique, and their teacher, Padre Manolo.
