Gotta Dance

In 2007, the New Jersey Nets basketball team made a surprise move by forming the first-ever senior citizen hip-hop dance troupe, The NJ NETSationals, as part of their entertainment family. With a cast of 12 women and 1 man, all new to dance, filmmaker Dori Berinstein followed and filmed them as they recruited, auditioned, and trained for center court stardom. From rehearsals to personal team dinners, the film chronicles the NETSationals' journey from obscurity to exhilarating performances at half-time shows, including a memorable showdown with a kids' dance troupe.
