All Day and a Night

"All Day and a Night" is a 2020 American crime drama film about an aspiring rapper named Jahkor Lincoln who serves a life sentence for murder, looking back on his childhood and circumstances that led to his crime. He reflects on his abusive father JD, played by Jeffrey Wright, his mother's efforts to keep things together, and the events leading up to his arrest. As Jahkor navigates his past, he also reunites with his son Zion, who was conceived with a woman named Shantaye, and works to repair his relationship with his father behind bars.
