Fallen Angel

Eric Stanton (Dana Andrews) is an unemployed drifter who feigns sleep on a bus to avoid paying his fare and ends up in a small California town where he gets caught up in a passionate love triangle between Stella, the sultry waitress, and June Mills, a quiet and well-to-do woman. As Eric falls for both women, he concocts a scheme to win Stella over by involving June, but things take a deadly turn when Stella is murdered. With June as his unlikely ally, Stanton must evade suspicion and confront the dark secrets of the town's residents.
