The Phantom of the Opera

In 1910, Gaston Leroux's novel was adapted into a silent horror film that would become an iconic classic. The 1925 film stars Lon Chaney as the deformed Phantom who haunts the Paris Opera House, using his enchanting voice and promises of success to lure young Christine Daaé (Mary Philbin) to his lair.
