Coven

In 17th century French Basque Country, a group of teenage girls are falsely accused of witchcraft by Judge Rostegui, who has been charged by the king to rid the country of "devil's wiles". The girls are arrested and tortured into confessing, with one of them, Ana, fabricating a twisted version of their pre-arrest celebration to save her friends. As the full moon approaches, Ana leads her friends in a clever ruse, using their supposed magic to manipulate Judge Rostegui and his men, before ultimately turning the tables on their tormentors.
