Sugar & Spice

Sugar & Spice follows the story of Diane Weston (Marley Shelton), a high school cheerleader who becomes pregnant after having an affair with her football teammate Jack Bartlett (James Marsden). As Diane and her four best friends, Kansas Hill (Mena Suvari), Cleo Miller (Melissa George), Lucy Whitmore (Rachel Blanchard), and Hannah Wald (Marla Sokoloff), struggle to cope with the financial burden of raising a child, they plan a bank robbery. The group, known as "The A-Squad," learns from watching heist films and gathering tips from Kansas's mother in prison. They successfully rob a supermarket and a bank, using their cheerleading skills to distract security guards and disarm guns. However, when Lisa Janusch (Marla Sokoloff), the leader of the rival B-Squad, discovers their identity, the group must come up with an alibi to avoid arrest.
