Frank Darbo, a devoutly religious short-order cook, transforms into the Crimson Bolt, a superhero with the best intentions, though lacking heroic skills, after his wife falls under the influence of a drug dealer. He uses savage violence to compensate for his lack of superhuman abilities and sets out to rescue his wife from the clutches of the villain, Jacques. As he navigates his newfound identity, Frank's life becomes increasingly complicated, culminating in a violent confrontation that will change him forever.
