Is Anybody There?

In 1987, a young boy named Edward lives in an old people's home where death and dying surround him. His obsession with finding evidence for the afterlife is matched by his fascination with magic, which he discovers through Clarence, an elderly ex-magician struggling with dementia who has recently entered the home. As they form an unlikely friendship, their quest becomes a journey of self-discovery, ultimately allowing both Edward and Clarence to come to terms with their respective situations, leaving behind a poignant exploration of life, loss, and the human spirit.
