Exit Through the Gift Shop

Exit Through the Gift Shop tells the incredible true story of Thierry Guetta's rise to fame as the artist "Mr. Brainwash", a French immigrant living in Los Angeles who runs a successful vintage clothing shop and obsessively films his life after discovering his cousin Invader is a famed street artist. Thierry befriends Shepard Fairey, but it's Banksy - the elusive graffiti artist - who becomes the subject of his fascination. After being befriended by Banksy, Guetta turns his hours of footage into a film titled "Life Remote Control", which ultimately leads to Banksy producing his own documentary featuring the same footage, which he decides is valuable despite its chaotic editing process.
