Toru Watanabe (Kenichi Matsuyama) recalls his life in 1960s Tokyo, marked by tragedy after his friend Kizuki's sudden death. He develops feelings for Naoko, Kizuki's girlfriend, and Midori, a vibrant student who contrasts with Naoko's despair. As Toru navigates trauma, memory, and complicated bonds with both women, he must choose between his past and future.
