In the dark comedy "Great World of Sound," Pat Healy stars as Martin, an introverted transplant to Charlotte, North Carolina, who answers a misleading ad for a record producer job and finds himself entangled in a sinister talent scouting scheme called Great World of Sound. Here, he's paired with Clarence, played by Kene Holliday, an outgoing middle-aged man who becomes his unlikely partner, but Martin's suspicions about the company's true nature threaten their success. A blend of fact and fiction, the film is based on director Craig Zobel's own experiences and features real auditionees, adding to its downbeat authenticity.
