A small town in the USA Midwest is thrown into chaos when a group of scientists' experiment goes horribly wrong, unleashing a swarm of flesh-eating locusts that have escaped from a top-secret government lab. As the locusts attack and kill everything in their path, including people, Colt Dunton, a local farmer, must join forces with his veterinarian girlfriend Vicky to find a way to stop the deadly creatures before they bring destruction to the entire country. With the help of a group of exterminators, they embark on a desperate bid to outsmart the locusts and save humanity from extinction. Will Colt's organic pesticide be enough to defeat the swarm, or will the locusts prove to be the ultimate killing machines?
