The Island

In the 1980 thriller "The Island," a British-born American journalist (Michael Caine) is assigned to investigate the mysterious disappearances of boats and people in the Bermuda Triangle. He takes his estranged son on a vacation to Disney World but finds himself kidnapped by a savage group of French pirates who have been living on an uncharted Caribbean island for centuries, sustaining themselves through piracy since the 17th century. As Blair Maynard struggles to escape from the island, he must confront the brutality and violence of his captors, leading him to devise a plan that puts him at odds with their leader, in a desperate bid to survive and outsmart them.
