Something of Value

In British-ruled Kenya in 1945, a childhood friendship between Peter McKenzie, a white settler's son, and Kimani Wa Karanja, a black Kikuyu native, is put to the test as colonialism and differing views on life's purpose tear the country apart. The two men, now on opposite sides of the struggle, must confront their own biases and the brutal realities of rebellion against the oppressive British regime. As violence escalates and the Mau Mau uprising gains momentum, Peter and Kimani are forced to make impossible choices that will forever alter the course of their lives and the fate of Kenya.
