Stormy Monday

In Newcastle upon Tyne, Irishman Brendan (Sean Bean) finds work as a janitor at Finney's jazz club, where he meets Kate (Melanie Griffith), an American woman with ties to corrupt businessman Cosmo (Tommy Lee Jones). When Brendan discovers a plot to buy out the club, he warns Finney and helps thwart Cosmo's plans. As tensions rise, Brendan and Kate form a bond, but their relationship is complicated by her past connection to Cosmo and the danger that follows them both.
