A young Jewish boy's Bar Mitzvah is set to be a disaster when it coincides with the 1966 World Cup Final, but as England reaches its climax, the family makes an unexpected decision that changes everything. The film follows the true-life story of director Paul Weiland's own bar mitzvah, skillfully weaving together humor and heart in a tale of one boy's quest to find his place in an unpredictable world.
