Death Saved My Life

On the surface it seems Jade has it all, including a successful marketing career, a heart surgeon husband who is admired and respected in the community, and a young daughter they both dote on. However, behind closed doors, her life is far from perfect. Jade Thompson (Meagan Good) is a successful marketer whose controlling, abusive husband Ed (Chiké Okonkwo) hires a hitman to kill her when she decides to leave him. After faking her own death, Jade takes measures to psychologically torment Ed, including sending him threatening messages and photos of her own dead body. As the investigation unfolds, Ed's dark past and his drinking problem are revealed, leading to a dramatic confrontation that ultimately leads to his downfall and Jade's safe return home with her family.
