The Frightened City

In 1960s London, small-time thief Paddy Damion (Sean Connery) is recruited by a mobster to help with racketeering, but only because he has nowhere else to go after his friend's unexpected death and the police are closing in on him. As he navigates this treacherous world, he must also contend with a femme fatale in his bed and deal with the consequences of Harry Foulcher's (Alfred Marks) violent outbursts. Herbert Lom plays Waldo Zhernikov, the brains of the gangster organization, while John Gregson stars as Det. Insp. Sayers, the detective hot on their trail.
