The Delinquents

In 1950s Australia, Brownie and Lola fall deeply in love, but their parents and welfare officials try to keep them apart due to their age. As Lola becomes pregnant, the couple runs away together, only to face heartbreak when Lola's mother forces her into an abortion. Desperate to be reunited, Brownie joins a ship's crew, while Lola starts anew in Melbourne, until they're finally brought back together after a year of separation, eventually building a life and starting a family, as they navigate the challenges of teenage love, societal expectations, and their own future.
