The Beaver

The Beaver is a 2011 psychological drama film directed by Jodie Foster and starring Mel Gibson as Walter Black, a depressed CEO who uses a beaver hand puppet to communicate with his family after hitting rock-bottom. With the help of the puppet, Walter begins to recover from his depression, reconnects with his wife and younger son, but struggles to regain his relationship with his teenage son Porter (Anton Yelchin). As the story unfolds, Walter's journey towards healing is intertwined with that of his daughter Norah (Jennifer Lawrence), who also grapples with her own trauma.
