Xander, a witch who has abused black magic, tries to go clean after experiencing disaster after disaster. He befriends a young loner, Roland, and helps him with various teenage issues, including bullies and girlfriends. Xander and Roland's friendship blossoms amidst high school rivalry and the challenges of adolescence.
