Johnny Frenchman

Johnny Frenchman is a 1945 British comedy-drama romance war film set in Cornwall and Brittany during the early months of World War II, where a long-standing rivalry between Cornish and Breton fishermen turns into an unlikely unity when both sides face a common enemy. As tensions ease, Sue Pomeroy (Patricia Roc) must choose between her childhood friend Bob Tremayne (Ralph Michael) and the charming Yan Kervarec (Paul Dupuis), who wins her heart after her son's injury. Meanwhile, Lanec Florrie (Françoise Rosay) proves herself as a hero in her own right when she bravely tackles a sea mine in the Cornish harbour.
