Elsa la rose

In this poignant and intimate documentary, French poet Elsa Triolet is captured in a tender portrait of her youth, as recalled by her long-time companion Louis Aragon. Through poems written by Aragon about their relationship, Michel Piccoli's voice guides the viewer through the early years of their bond. Filmed in the couple's home and a Parisian café, this 1965 short film offers a rare glimpse into the lives of two literary giants.
