Rugantino

In 19th-century Rome, Adriano Celentano stars as Rugantino, a lovestruck fool who gets entangled in a murder accusation and public torture. His doomed fate is sealed when he's accused of killing a wealthy Roman nobleman, with Claudia Mori's Rosetta appearing to be his devoted love despite her marriage. With a cast that includes Toni Ucci as the brother of the nobleman killed, Rugantino is a 1973 Italian comedy film based on the stage musical by Pietro Garinei and Sandro Giovannini.
