In the vibrant city of Kyoto, art student Kumi Honamanuma takes a leap of faith to pursue her dream of owning her grandmother's beloved Dagashi store, only to find herself surrounded by an unlikely group of heroes reincarnated into the modern era. Alongside Harami Mino and their companions, Kumi embarks on a journey that blends action, comedy, and fantasy as they prepare for a new adventure - or so it seems, with Ran, the former demon king, who unexpectedly reappears in their lives. As Ran sets out to collect fragments of her former power, this unlikely quartet must confront the challenges of the past and the present, all set against the rich cultural backdrop of Japan.
