In this chilling 1940 thriller, Boris Karloff stars as Dr. John Garth, a brilliant scientist driven by his pursuit of an anti-aging serum. When his life sentence is commuted to life imprisonment, Garth's newfound freedom allows him to perfect his experiment, but at a terrible cost: the gradual resurgence of a dark and murderous force within him. As the bodies begin to pile up, Garth's grip on reality falters, and he must confront the true horror of his own creation - and the evil that lurks beneath its surface.
