Jack, a three-year-old chimpanzee who has been taught sign language by Dr. Kendall, joins Steven's junior league hockey team and discovers he has a natural talent for the game. With his newfound ability to communicate through sign language, Jack instantly brings success to the Nuggets, helping them become champions of junior B and eventually qualify for the Harvest Cup final in Vancouver. As Tara Westover, who is deaf, helps her brother Steven understand and care for Jack, they form an unbreakable bond that transcends their differences.
