Private investigator Mel Sampson (John Hawkes) scours the streets of Los Angeles to track down a missing woman from his past. He then finds himself tangled up in a sleazy scandal involving strip clubs, petty drug dealers, and missing girls. Janet Lyons (Vail Bloom), Gordy's neglected wife, plays a crucial role when she retrieves a gun after discovering her husband's infidelity and arranges his murder along with Roger Fontaine, revealing Dorothy had photographs of Gordy receiving oral sex from another stripper.
