Between Midnight and Dawn

Between Midnight and Dawn is a 1950 American film noir crime film directed by Gordon Douglas and starring Mark Stevens as Officer Rocky Barnes, Edmond O'Brien as Officer Dan Purvis, Gale Storm as Katharine 'Kate' Mallory, and Donald Buka as Ritchie Garris. Childhood friends Rocky and Dan are Los Angeles prowl-car cops on night duty, whose lives become entangled with Kate, a radio communicator who falls for one of them, but not the other. The men's careers put them in a deadly game with murderous racketeer Ritchie Garris, who escapes from prison to exact revenge.
