The Big Doll House

In this gritty and exploitative women-in-prison film, six female inmates face sadistic torture at the hands of a brutal guard in a tropical prison. Led by Pam Grier's tough-as-nails Grear, the women hatch an escape plan that involves taking revenge on their tormentor and rounding up unsuspecting hostages to aid their breakout. With its mix of action, drama, and thriller elements, The Big Doll House is a raw and unapologetic ride that helped establish Roger Corman's New World Pictures as a major force in the exploitation genre.
