A View of Love

Marc Palestro (Jean Dujardin), a successful real estate agent in Aix-en-Provence, becomes fixated on a mysterious woman, "Mrs Maldonato" (Marie-Josée Croze) who he believes to be his childhood sweetheart Cathy, whom he thought was killed in a bombing. As their relationship deepens, it's revealed that Cathy is actually an aspiring actress named Marie-Jeanne, who had been coaching by Sergio Bartoli (Toni Servillo). With the truth exposed, Marc is reunited with Marie-Jeanne outside a theatre where she has secured a part, and the film gradually builds to a lyrical abstraction.
