Queen to Play

Hélène (Sandrine Bonnaire), a devoted French chambermaid on Corsica, develops an interest in chess and begins practicing under the guidance of her eccentric American expat tutor Dr. Kröger (Kevin Kline). As she becomes more passionate about the game, her relationships with her husband and teenage daughter become increasingly strained.
