In the Gulf of Mexico, a deadly combination of an oil spill, explosion, and toxic waste gives rise to a terrifying mutation that stalks a beach community. Police Sergeant Devon Hughes investigates against unscrupulous CEO Michael Milhoan, but it's quirky detective Brian Edward Kahrs and tenacious environmental researcher Wendi Hughes (also the film's writer) who confront this zombie nightmare, joined by Lily Cardone as Ally Carter and Rod Grant as Ryan Blakely.
