Why We Breathe

A singer-songwriter and her daughter flee Music City for small-town Tennessee, seeking refuge from her violent past, where they're welcomed by an elderly uncle's church family, but his community may not be enough to shield them from their troubles. As Carrie Hicks (Alexandra Sedlak) navigates her new life, she must confront the darkness of her past and find a way to play a different note this time.
