Alien from L.A.

Wanda Saknussemm (Kathy Ireland) is a nerdy social misfit who lives in Los Angeles and works at a diner. After her father's disappearance on an expedition, she sets out to find him, ultimately discovering a secret underground world where people from the surface are referred to as "aliens." Wanda must navigate this subterranean society, teaming up with a miner named Gus (William R. Moses) and a rogue named Charmin' (Thom Mathews), to evade capture by the authorities and uncover the truth about her father's fate.
