Superdeep

In 1984, Anna Fedorova, a Soviet epidemiologist, leads a team to investigate reports of a disease outbreak at a secret underground research facility in Murmansk. There, they uncover evidence of a mysterious fungal super-colony that has been awakened deep beneath the surface of the Kola borehole, an arctic polar circle region. As the team delves deeper into the facility, Anna must confront her own moral dilemmas and the sinister forces controlling the site, including Dr. Grigoriev, who becomes increasingly unhinged and willing to do whatever it takes to keep the truth from coming to light.
