Astral City: A Spiritual Journey

"Astral City: A Spiritual Journey" is a 2010 Brazilian drama film directed by Wagner de Assis, starring Renato Prieto as Dr. André Luiz, a selfish physician who dies and awakens in the afterlife called "Umbral". He is rescued and brought to the spiritual city of "Nosso Lar", where he must gain merits through hard work to prove his value for life. As he navigates this new world, André learns to accept his own death and finds a way to love and be loved again, ultimately gaining permission to descend to Earth and reconnect with his family, ten years after his passing.
