Bitter Victory

During World War II, two British officers, Major David Brand (Curd Jürgens) and Captain Jimmy Leith (Richard Burton), embark on a perilous commando mission behind German lines in Benghazi. Their relationship is complicated by the arrival of Brand's wife, who had an affair with Leith years earlier. The mission involves infiltrating a German headquarters to obtain secret plans, but things take a deadly turn when Leith must make a difficult decision to save a wounded German soldier.
