A group of friends, including Mel (Krew Boylan) and anthropology student Dace (Will Travel), join a study to examine ancient rock paintings in the Australian outback. However, after skinny-dipping in a pond, Mel develops a mysterious illness that transforms her into a savage predator. As others begin to regress, Anja (Zoe Tuckwell-Smith) must navigate a terrifying situation with increasingly mutated friends and fend off Mel's attacks, ultimately leading to a deadly confrontation.
