The Holiday

Two lovelorn women, Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet) and Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz), swap homes at Christmastime following bad breakups. Each woman finds romance with a local man but realizes that the imminent return home may end the relationship. Along the way, they meet Graham Simpkins (Jude Law), Miles Dumont (Jack Black), Arthur Abbott (Eli Wallach), and other characters who add depth to their stories as they navigate love, loss, and self-discovery in Surrey, England, and Los Angeles, California.
