The Reincarnation of Peter Proud

When college professor Peter Proud begins experiencing flashbacks of an earlier life, he's mysteriously drawn to a place he's never been to, but which seems familiar. There, he soon finds his previous incarnation's wife, Marcia, now a middle-aged alcoholic. As Peter continues his exploration, he uncovers that Marcia's husband Jeff was found drowned in Crystal Lake in 1946 under mysterious circumstances. Through his research, Peter develops a romance with Ann, Marcia's daughter, but their relationship is complicated by the possibility that Ann may be his daughter from a past life. In the end, Peter confronts Marcia, who reveals her dark secrets and ultimately leads him to his death in a tragic finale.
