Love Unto Waste

"Love Unto Waste," a 1986 Hong Kong drama film, explores the complex lives of four young people living in Hong Kong. When one of them is brutally murdered during a burglary, their underlying fears and regrets slowly emerge under the scrutiny of an eccentric cop, played by Chow Yun-fat as Detective Lam Chun-Keung. As Tony Leung's character, Tony Cheung Siu-Hoi, becomes entangled with Irene Wan's Billie Yuen Bui-Yee after the tragedy strikes, a dark love affair unfolds amidst grief and loneliness.
