The Iceman

The Iceman is a 2012 American biographical crime film loosely based on hitman Richard Kuklinski, starring Michael Shannon as Kuklinski, who presents himself to everyone as a normal and successful working man with a dark, violent side that he hides. As a boy, he was the subject of brutal beatings from his immigrant Polish father, shaping him into an emotionally disturbed, sadistic young man. The film follows Kuklinski's 22-year career as a contract killer, including his work for mob-backed companies and his involvement in various hit jobs, before he is arrested in 1986 and sentenced to two life terms in prison.
