The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete

The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete follows 13-year-old Mister (Skylan Brooks) and his 9-year-old friend Pete (Ethan Dizon), both Korean-American boys whose mothers are heroin-addicted sex workers. After their mothers disappear during a police raid, the two boys are left to fend for themselves in Brooklyn's housing projects, struggling to survive amidst poverty, neglect, and danger. As Mister tries to keep his promise to protect Pete, they form an unbreakable bond that becomes the emotional core of the story, ultimately leading to a heart-wrenching reunion with their mothers, who are trying to rebuild their lives after rehab.
