A German Life

"A German Life" is a 2016 documentary film that tells the story of Brunhilde Pomsel, a stenographer for Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels. Born in Berlin in 1911, Pomsel worked as a secretary for a noble family and later for a Jewish lawyer before joining the NSDAP to secure a job at the Reichs-Rundfunk-Gesellschaft. In 1942, she began working at Goebbels' office, where she remained until the end of the war. The film sheds light on Pomsel's experiences during this period and her complex relationship with the Nazi regime.
