The Ledge

Detective Hollis Lucetti (Terrence Howard) receives news that he is sterile his entire life. His wife's infidelity is revealed upon reaching home, where she explains that their children's father is not her husband but a younger brother. In contrast, Gavin Nichols (Charlie Hunnam), an atheist, considers jumping off a building unless someone else dies. A crowd forms below as Hollis responds to the emergency. Gavin has a complicated past, having begun an affair with Shana (Liv Tyler), whose husband Joe (Patrick Wilson) is a fundamentalist Christian who infantilizes her.
