The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Renowned oceanographer Steve Zissou sets out to exact revenge on the "jaguar shark" that devoured his partner Esteban, a quest that becomes an all-consuming endeavor for him and his crew aboard his aging research vessel Belafonte. Joined by a cast of eccentric characters, including a man who claims to be his long-lost son and a pregnant journalist, Zissou navigates treacherous waters, encountering pirates, scientific rivals, and personal demons along the way. As he searches for the elusive shark, Zissou must confront his own complicated past and the true meaning of family, friendship, and redemption.
